Pach Pokhari Trekking
anchPokhari (Five Ponds) is one of the main short trekking destination nearest from Kathmandu. Situated 4100 meter, northeast of Kathmandu on the Chain of Peaks Jugal Himal range embraces Dorje Lakpa(6966m), Madiya(6257m) and Phurbi Chhiyachu(6637m), the place is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhist. The five holy ponds called: Surya Kunda, Bhairav Kunda Ganesh Kunda Nag Kunda and Saraswati Kunda. These ponds are the origination point of the Indrawati River.
Apart from these holy ponds, the trail is famous for magnificent views of Himalayan Peaks as Ganesh himal, Yangri, Dorje Lakpa, Madiya, Phurba and Gauri Shankar. This is the base of the Jugal Himalayan range. Similarly the Hyolmo culture of living around here celebrate festival at Pachpokhari every year at Janai Purnima festival that time hundreds of local people reach at ponds. The greatest water supply of Kathmandu valley, the way through Melanchi bazaar, Bhotang amd Chhimti Village. The first night at Chhimti with warm friendly of Hyolmo people. Next morning start walk different culture in every village, this trial you can find different belief and culture so can say cultural trek too. You have to climb many hills, cross various small rivers and see new creatures. You will get to grasp the incredible landscape is Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Phurbochyachu, Gaurishankar and more. That’s not all your eyes will meet with many strangers but their smiles will be familiar. Nasimpati will be second night. The next morning start walking continuous, there are some steep hill on the way which you’ll need to climb with cautions to see an absolutely different surrounding. You will have paths field with rocks, from stairs to ground, there are rocks all over. After uphill Lauri bina can see Pach Pokhari. From there everything will start feeling surreal. You will start to think” How ca such places so close to heaven exist?’, first three lakes and another two are little apart. You will spend night here. The spiritual environment will definitely give you a very peaceful night of sleep. Make near holy lakes and temple. The next morning while you start around, it will be really unforgettable for you. This place is rich for Hyolmo culture (Tamang and Sherpa) lifestyle, different mountains, waterfalls, different wildlife include Red Panda, and different colors rhododendron blower at spring season.

Day 1 : Drive from Kathmandu to Bhotang Chhimti. 1800 meter
Day 2 : Trekking to Nasimpati 6/7 hrs. 3700 meter.
Day 3 : Trekking to Pach Pokhari 4100 meter.
Day 4 : Trekking back to Chhimti village
Day 5 : Drive back to Kathmandu.
